Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can acquire your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special rules on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
